I've tired of the Marshall vibe, although I do miss my 50 watt 4104 JCM800 2 x 12 combo. I have recently scored a '75 AC50 head, which is very similar to the mid 60s heads. The top end on it can be a little brittle, so I'm taming it with an EV 15". It is lovely and warm without being boomy....much more pleasant with a single coil guitar than either of the 12s I was using.

I have also landed a super rare 1979 Escort 50. It's a small lightweight combo, all SS but with an amazing breakup very reminiscent of early Fender valve amps. Haven't gigged with it yet but I'm thinking of running them in stereo with the Escort mic'd for my FOH sound.

Anyone else like Vox amps other than the AC30 (which are amazing, I grant you, but there are a host of other models!)?

I'm surprised you haven't had any response - however you did exclude AC30, probably the favourite........
I have a Vox AC30CC2 with a Celestion V30 and a Celestion Greenback installed, volume treble cap bypassed - sounds great but only at 'too loud for home' volumes - I did try it out - "pardon, you'll have to speak up". Thought about selling it on but bought a Palmer Attenuator instead. It does colour the sound slightly but, for me, in a good way, it takes out a little of the treble. Now its staying put.
